In August of 2008, Benton First United Methodist Church had a vision to fulfill a growing need within our community. We realized the burden many working parents face when trying to find afternoon child care between school and when they get off work. Out of this first birthed our Kids In Training Afterschool Child Programming, making us able to offer a program to meet this need for our community. Being a State Certified Program, meaning we meet the criteria of the State to offer the best quality programming we can, we are equipped to provide the best after school programming available. Even aside from these credentials, we still stand firm that each child’s safety is our number one priority.

n August of 2013, Benton First began what was known as our Mother’s Day Out Program, offering two days of educational programming and social skills training for preschool children ages 12 months –5. This programming consisted of fun activities, sensory play, play stations, and circle time learning where children were exposed to important concepts that will enhance their skill building and educational readiness for school. This set in motion our newest addition to Benton First’s Child Enrichment programming. Our KIT Preschool program replaced our Mother’s Day Out program, providing parents with a week-long safe and affordable way for their children to receive the educational and social skills training needed to prepare them for Kindergarten.
